In a survey of 1,000 house hunters, Synergistics found that 15 percent of those polled had applied online for their mortgage. That trends up from the 10 percent Synergistics previously reported a few years ago, but only taps the surface of 33 percent of mortgage buyers in the survey who plan to apply online in the near future. For shoppers seeking loans above $500,000, the poll found that 26 percent of them now submit their applications online.
